Analytic Wavefunctions for Collective Modes in Fractional Quantum Hall

We propose a general scheme in writing down Laughlin-like analytic wavefunctions for the collective excitations in Read-Rezayi series, including magneto-roton mode for both Laughlin and Moore-Read (MR) state, as well as neutral fermion mode specific to MR state. The wavefunctions allow us to compute the themodynamic gap of the magneto-roton modes in the long wavelength limit, which is related to the guiding center spin and free energy cost of fusing particles in the plasma analogy.
