Connection between the Electronic Inhomogeneity and the Pseudogap of
Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+d Superconductors
   [PDF]

Tatsuya Honma, Pei-Herng Hor
We have investigated the relationship between pseudogaps and the inhomogeneous nanoscale electronic gap (INSEG) state detected in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+d. We find that two, the upper and the lower, pseudogaps are quantitatively connected to the specific coverage of the CuO2 planes by INSEG. This suggests that the nanoscale electronic inhomogeneity is generic for hole-doped high-temperature cuprate superconductor.
