Multi-shell contribution to the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya spiralling in
MnSi-type crystals

The transition from the microscopic Heisenberg model to the macroscopic elastic theory is carried out for the chiral magnetics of MnSi-type with the B20 crystal structure. Both the exchange and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions are taking into account for the first, second, and third magnetic neighbors. The misorientations of the magnetic moments are divided into long-range and short-range modes and it is shown that they are governed by different components of the DM vectors. The particular components of the DM vectors of bonds responsible (i) for the global magnetic twist and (ii) for canting between four different spin sublattices are found. It is demonstrated that the non-nearest magnetic shells could be very important because just the strong components of their DM vectors contribute to the observed macroscopic twist contrary to the first neighbors.
